Rohan leads Russell Kennedy's Corporate and Commercial practice and acts for various public corporations as well as foreign and privately owned businesses, principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and business structures. He also acts for many private clients in the field of business succession, provides GST advice to many of the firm’s major retirement village and property clients, and represents the Direct Selling Association of Australia and many of its member organisations.
Rosemary is the head of our Property and Development team and a Law Institute of Victoria Property Law Accredited Specialist. She is focused on delivering quality advice to her clients, practicing in the areas of commercial property, leasing, aged care and retirement villages. As part of her role she advises peak industry bodies such as the Property Council Australia in their dealings with Government. Rosemary has been recognised by Best Lawyers for her expertise in Retirement Villages and Senior Living Law from 2012-2019 and in 2014 and 2019 was named the Melbourne Retirement Villages and Senior Living Law "Lawyer of the Year".
Victor is a recognised senior practitioner in administrative and disciplinary law, health and aged care, prosecutions, government law and alternative dispute resolution. Victor is Russell Kennedy's Government Relationship Principal and also oversees the firm's significant pro bono program. Victor has a Masters in Health and Medical Law and was named Best Lawyers' 2014 Melbourne Health and Aged Care Law "Lawyer of the Year" and was recognised in 2012 - 2019 for his expertise in Health and Aged Care Law. He was also recognised in 2014 - 2019 for his expertise in Government Practice and in Retirement Villages and Senior Living Law in 2017 - 2019.
Donna delivers expert legal advice to owners, operators and developers of retirement villages in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland including the preparation of resident contracts, compliance and dispute resolution advice. Donna also has experience in residential and commercial property transactions, subdivisions and drafting various types of commercial agreements. Donna was recognised by Best Lawyers 2013 - 2019 for expertise in Retirement Villages and Senior Living Law.
Emma’s practice covers all aspects of leasing and licensing transactions – retail, commercial and industrial. She acts for tenants, landlords, local government and state government authorities, as well as the not-for-profit sector. Emma has extensive knowledge of retail leasing legislation in Victoria and other Australian states, and is experienced in handling tenancy disputes at mediation and VCAT. Emma is also Russell Kennedy’s Pro Bono Manager and leads our pro bono refugee law practice.
