Webinar replay: Harmony Week @RK: Cultural Diversity and the Future of the Legal Industry

Webinar Replay

In celebration of Harmony Week 2022 on Tuesday, March 22, RK hosted the inaugural Harmony Week @RK panel, featuring preeminent barristers William Lye OAM QC and Minal Vohra SC.

This session is worth 1 CPD point in Professional Skills.

Australia is a multicultural society in which individuals from all walks of life may find a place. As a firm, Russell Kennedy celebrates diversity, and recognises that cross-cultural literacy is of increasing importance to success in the legal industry, now and into the future.

This online panel event gave participants the opportunity to hear from senior professionals in the law about:

  • their lived experiences;
  • how they have overcome challenges in their careers;
  • the changing face of the legal industry and law firms; and
  • their insights into the future of the law and the growing importance of cultural awareness and sensitivity in doing business.

The event was open to everyone. The topics covered were of particular interest to lawyers, law students and other members of the legal industry.

This event also give participants an opportunity to ask burning questions of both Mr Lye and Ms Vohra.

The event was chaired by Natasha Sim, on behalf of Kaleidoscope, RK’s cultural diversity working group.
