Are you worried about reputation management for your organisation?
Building and maintaining a charity or Not-for-profit’s reputation is becoming a difficult challenge in an online, connected world where organisations have to battle for relevance. The slightest error or misjudgement can bring apart years of hard work.
We’ve brought together three speakers to help explore reputation risk.
Jonathan Teh – Senior Associate at Russell Kennedy
Jonathan will speak about the problems around getting media cut-through in a post Trump, fake news environment. He’ll explore the legal challenges of engaging in policy fights and the dangerous world of defamation. He’ll also provide some legal tips for protecting your organisation’s reputation.
Robert Tigani – Client Director at Pitcher Partners
Rob will reflect on why your organisation needs a good reputation and will show the concept of a ‘brand’ and how it relates to you organisation. He will explore the current marketplace, and give tips for building and maintaining brand reputation, drawing on insights from outside the sector.
Simon Gillett – Executive Patron at The Amy Gillett Foundation
Simon will explain what the Foundation does and talk about how they built and maintain their reputation, including the importance of the Foundation’s involvement in the “a metre matters” and “safe together” campaigns. The campaigns aim to represent cyclists and safety, whilst working with government, and external partnerships. He will also touch on the importance of their cycling events being run safely to maintain the Foundation’s reputation.
Simon married Amy in 2004 after a ten year relationship, and was formerly her coach, guiding her to win two World Rowing Championships. Simon himself has represented Australia at six World Rowing Championships. Following his retirement as an athlete Simon was National Director of Coaching Education and National team selector for Australian Rowing for six years, and Head Coach of Australian Rowing leading up to the Atlanta Olympics.
Jonathan Teh - Russell Kennedy, Senior Associate
Jonathon works with Russell Kennedy’s not-for-profit organisations, including large peak bodies, on major constitution reforms. His work has included the design of the board and membership classes, advising on governance processes, modernising constitutions, member consultations and meeting procedure advice in contentious situations, and implementing their funding and contract arrangements.
Robert Tigani - Pitcher Partners, Client Director

His holistic view of the business landscape enables him to provide strategic thinking and business insights that drive tangible business transformation.
