Breakfast Seminar: Further restrictions on Asian importation – delivering infrastructure for domestic waste and resource recovery sector

| Published by Stefan Fiedler, Kyle Gillan

The current disruption to the waste recycling industry has put the focus on Australia’s capacity to manage its own waste.

As export markets for recyclable materials continue to close, significant capital investment is likely to flow into improved waste management infrastructure that can increase the value of waste streams whilst continuing to divert waste from landfill.

This free seminar will cover the key legal considerations for building new waste management infrastructure in Victoria.

David Cocks from MRA Consulting & Russell Kennedy Principals Stefan Fiedler and Kyle Gillan will describe the planning and environmental approval processes that apply to the procurement of waste management infrastructure as well as the tendering, contracting and delivery methods that are used to procure waste management infrastructure.

This seminar will be of interest to professionals from local government, water authorities, regional waste management groups and owners and operators of waste management infrastructure.
